Pontiac comes out with the 455HO Engine.

The Firebird line is almost scrapped due to a 174 day Union strike.

Famous for the addition of the now iconic Screaming Eagle Hood bird and the SD455 powerhouse engine.

The last year for the 455 Super Duty engine.

Pontiac changes the rear window and now has a "wrap-around" design.
1976
The first appearance of the Special Edition Trans Am and Hurst T-top roof.

The Iconic Special Edition made famous by the movie "Smokey and the Bandit".

Pontiac introduces the WS6 handling package and the redesigned Fisher T-tops.

The 10th Anniversary of the Trans Am.

Pontiac bring out the Turbo Trans Am including the Pace Car
